Romanian Electric Vehicle Association

During the last years, in all countries, urban transportation raised specific problems and caused important political, social and environmental harms: pollution, noise, stress. That is why research and technological development activities are encouraged to provide clean and efficient transport, especially in European countries, USA and Japan. The laws regarding environmental protection are aiming limiting greenhouse gas protection and Romania-wishing to integrate in the EU-must and wishes to follow the same direction.

An answer to the problems of environmental pollution is the Electric Vehicle-as an alternative transportation vector. That is why, in the last twenty years, the electric vehicle was re-discovered. Electric vehicles, which are mostly known for being clean and silent, were expected to answer to the growing demand for clean and efficient transport. Unfortunetaly, despite providing major environmental benefits as well as promoting new traffic management system, electric vehicles have not succeeded yet to assert on the car market and convince the prospective users.

The targets of this association are:

to help the sustainable development of transportation by promoting the research, design, manufacturing, import and exploitation of environmental-friendly vehicles (with accent on the electric vehicle - EV) and their parts and sub-systems, infrastructure and specific energy sources.
to stimulate the scientific research activity in this area
to develope projects as part of the national and european research programs
to contribute to the national technical educational system
to educate and inform the public, especially the young people, about the importance of the susteinable development of the human society and environment preservation.
to promote the use of non-polluting technologies in Romania, in order too harmonize progress and nature
to help elaborate a national set of laws, in concordance with the EU legislation, in the field of environmental friendly transportation
to initiate actions in order to incourage the use of electric vehicles, by tax policy and governmental subsidies for buying this kind of vehicles
to initiate and support actions to develope the specific urban infrastructure for electric vehicles
to represent and promote the interest of its members in Romania and abroad
